About this policy
This policy covers the RoamingBags coming soon website and its email waitlist. It does not cover future product accounts, purchases, published guides or travel bookings, which are not available here.
RoamingBags is the name of a prelaunch travel project in India. This policy describes how information is handled on its website and waitlist. For privacy enquiries, requests or complaints, email contact@roamingbags.com.
Information we collect
If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, your consent choice and version, request and confirmation timestamps, and the status of your request. We also keep the technical records needed to verify your email, process removal requests and retry email safely.
Verification and removal credentials are stored as hashes with limited metadata, rather than as plain text links. The email service receives your address and message content to send the email. Treat links in your emails as private: they authorize actions on your waitlist request.
We do not ask for a password, payment details, travel documents, precise location or a product profile on this website. Please submit only an email address you control.
How we use information
We use your information to confirm your request, maintain the waitlist, send the rollout updates you choose to receive, honor removal requests and protect the website from abuse. Joining is optional. Email updates require your consent and confirmation through a verification email.
We use your consent to send waitlist verification and rollout updates. Operational and security information supports the safe running of the website and is handled as permitted by applicable law. We do not use waitlist consent as permission for unrelated marketing. A waitlist request is not a purchase or a product account.
Analytics, cookies and browser choices
The website does not set analytics cookies, create persistent visitor identifiers or use advertising trackers. When enabled, first party analytics record daily aggregate page views, button use, form outcomes and performance measurements. Analytics payloads exclude email addresses, private tokens, raw IP addresses, referrers, query strings and form contents.
Optional analytics respect supported Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. The local review preview has analytics disabled. Temporary abuse controls use keyed identifiers and expiring counters, separately from analytics. Network services necessarily receive connection information to deliver requests; the selected host and its logging practices must be disclosed before launch.
Decorative motion follows your device or browser reduced motion setting. The website no longer stores a motion preference in browser session storage.
How long information stays
- Verification links expire after 24 hours. Unconfirmed requests become eligible for deletion after 48 hours and are removed by scheduled cleanup; deletion is not instantaneous at the expiry time.
- Confirmed waitlist records remain until you remove them. Removal deletes the active email record, consent data, credentials and queued messages associated with that request.
- Removal links expire after 180 days. You can request a fresh removal link if needed.
- Temporary abuse counters expire after 24 hours. Enabled analytics aggregates expire after 90 days. Database expiry processing may take additional time.
Messages already accepted by an email provider cannot be recalled. Provider log retention, backup schedules and the process for applying removals to restored backups must be confirmed before production activation. Removal from the active database does not promise immediate erasure from every backup or a recipient mailbox.
Your choices and rights
You can withdraw from the waitlist using the removal link in a waitlist email, or request a fresh removal link. Opening an email link alone does not remove your information; the linked page asks you to confirm. A request may need to be retried while an email is being processed.
You can contact us to ask about your waitlist information, request correction or deletion, withdraw consent or raise a privacy complaint. We may need to verify that you control the relevant email address. Rights and any exceptions depend on the law applicable to your request, including Indian data protection requirements where and when they apply. Withdrawing consent does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Send privacy enquiries and complaints to contact@roamingbags.com, identifying the relevant waitlist address and the action you are requesting. Please do not send passwords, verification links or unnecessary identity documents. You may also use any grievance or regulatory remedy available under applicable law. Automated waitlist removal remains available through the link above.
Security and suitability
Controls include input validation, bounded requests, private credentials, abuse limits and restricted operator access. No online service can promise absolute security. Keep verification and removal links private and do not forward them.
This website is not directed at children. If you cannot provide valid consent under the law that applies to you, do not submit a waitlist request without the authorization required by that law.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the website or its data practices change and revise the date above. Material changes to the purpose of email updates may require fresh consent. We will keep the project contact details up to date and explain any changes to service providers or data practices before they take effect.
